Our building housed Polo Norte Fábrica de Sodas founded by Captain Ángel Rivero Méndez in 1902. Rivero Méndez, a Puerto Rican soldier, writer, journalist and businessman was credited with inventing the Kola Champagne soft drink in this iconic building, that is historically known as one of the first and most important soda factories in the island and one of the best in all the Antilles.
This building is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Old San Juan since the facade has the original tiles imported from the luxury store Casa González in the Gran Vía , Spain.
Compared to other cocktail bars in San Juan, we offer more than just another great cocktail. We add value by expressing the rich history of our building and its links to Old San Juan.
Antiguo 26 combines the vibrant history of San Juan Antiguo with the fledgling culinary scene, setting the standard for excellence in hospitality, gastronomy and service.
